Scutellaria baicalensis is a perennial herb in the labiform subject. The main efficacy & function of Scutellaria is as followings:
- Clearing away heat and eliminating dampness: Scutellaria is used for dampness-warm fever, chest tightness, thirst and no desire to drink;
- Baicalin has significant biological activities, including antibacterial, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, cholesterol-lowering, anti-thrombosis, relieving asthma, purgative and detoxification, hemostatic, antifetal, anti-allergic reaction and spasmodic effects.
